Concept
Music allows us to connect ourselves to the passion of others
The concept is to connect to various music and passion at any place for the purpose of the interaction. The passion from the music, which is easily available to us in the form of such as the concert, broadcast, DJING created with the support of digital and network, permeates into the daily lives of listeners through the convergence media and provides them with a new type of lifestyle. We can share the emotion and communicate through the music and the new environment of BBC radio 2 & 6 music.
The music, maybe passion in other words, enables the listeners to even change profoundly their own atmosphere at the present moment, as well as permeating into their heart and communicate with them the minute they access the music at any place irrespective of who they are. The enthusiasm of others and musicians transforms into their own creative inspiration, together with their own enthusiasm.
General Context
Westren House, the home of Radio 2 and 6 Music in central London, is having a major refurbishment. The building will be re-styled to make it technologically up to date, as well as a more creative and inspiring environment for its radio staff to work in.
Purpose
The contemporary artwork to be installed in the wall space that includes the reception, will give the musicians and visitors an expectation of communication and interaction that can encourage or prompt their inspiration while they are passing or waiting in this space. The visual expression of printing artwork that will be mounted in the wall, gives interest to the viewer, transcending the space and time by combining the passion of various musicians and the digital power, and the viewer could have their own interpretation story that is unfolded with their own unique and creative inspiration. Therefore, all the staffs and visitors who encounter the works become the storyteller as they pass the works or watching them for a while. Musician, radio staffs, visitors will pass the space installed with the artwork or waiting for a while there, and expects the interaction with the artwork.
